Because Liv is so darn tenacious, here is my happy list :)

1. My Kids.

Hands down. Even if they drive me insane, nothing else makes me *this* much happier. Imagine, if I’m cranky now, how bad would my temper be if Oona wasn’t here to mind-wrestle with me (and make funny faces), Olly didn’t try to charm me out of my funk and Eva didn’t give me a wriggly-baby-gummy-toothless grin like I’m the BEST thing she’s seen all day. I’m pretty scary as it is, so I would be perfectly horrid without them!

2. RF.

Sue me, but he *really* does make me skippity-happy. Oh, like his spawn, he drives me insane too. But I really don’t know how he does it, he just manages to make me smile even when I just think of him. (Sugar overload!)

3. Driving.

It’s in(s)ane to some but I just love driving. Granted Manila has MMDA (heart attack!), oodles of traffic, and the kids sometimes have WWII at the back and I threaten to A.) pull over until everyone is settled, B.) go back home or C.) let offending parties out to walk back home…I still love it. It makes me happy. Even if the MMDA waving at me causes my blood pressure to spike.

4. TRAVEL.

Yep tied up with #3 but even just the thought of travelling makes me happy. It doesn’t matter whether it had already happened and we’re just talking about it or we’re just dreaming of it at the moment, I always feel that excitement bubbling up from deep inside.

5. Food.

It sounds general, but really any food makes me happy. From simple to complex, home-cooked to catered, I.LOVE.FOOD. Good food, if exactness is an issue. Bad food, No. Good food, yes. So if you want me to be happy, gimme a cookie or even those packet of Happy Peanuts. Good nuts, those!

6. Books and good paper.

If I could live in a library, I would. There really is something special about the smell and feel of paper. Especially if it’s old stock!

7. Smell of fresh laundry drying in the sun.

8. Sunsets and sunrises.

9. Sitting on top of trees. After climbing said trees, of course.

10. Wind chimes and sun catchers.

11. Rainy days, windy days and sunny days. Sweltering, humid days are out of the question.

12. Singing along to music from my college days after unexpectedly stumbling on a whole line-up of it on the radio.

13. Surprise visits from friends.

14. Bantering at the table with family while eating.

15. Sleep.

What’s your 15? :)
