Anybody who knows me well knows that I have a really bad allergic reaction to seafood that’s served not as fresh as it can be. One bite is enough to warrant a strong antihistamine or God forbid, a trip to the ER because my windpipe is closing! The only time I’m able to eat fish, crustaceans or any fruit of the sea is when it’s canned straight from the fishing nets or served as soon as it was caught by the seashore or on the boat. Such a shame to abstain from the yummy food in the restaurants as I love steamed crabs in butter and chili sauce, shrimps and prawns in lemon and butter, or steamed or grilled fish eaten with an ensalada of tomatoes, mangoes and onions! Let’s not forget lobsters, salmon or blue marlin! It’s so frustrating for me to be afraid to eat such good food for fear of being rushed to the ER after thirty minutes!
